A Tablet That Spent Five Years Underwater Helped Solve a Series of Crimes.

British police have solved a series of crimes with the help of an Apple tablet. They arrested suspects in a museum robbery in Switzerland and other crimes thanks to this device. The police say that five years ago they found an iPad mini lying at the bottom of a river. With data from the SIM card extracted from the device, they were able to connect it to the criminals' smartphones. They have already been charged with theft and shooting. The sentencing announcement will take place in April.
Chief Detective Matthew Webb acknowledges that it is impossible to determine precisely whether someone set up the criminals, or if they were so overconfident that they did not ensure the destruction of the device.
