Half of companies worldwide want to replace some workers with artificial intelligence – CNN.

The Future of Work: 41% of companies will reduce staff through artificial intelligence
According to a new report from the World Economic Forum, it is planned that by 2030, 41% of large companies will decrease their workforce due to automation and artificial intelligence. The study 'The Future of Work' was conducted among hundreds of companies around the world. This information is reported by CNN.
It is noted that 77% of surveyed companies plan to train and upskill their employees by 2030 for effective collaboration with artificial intelligence. Compared to the previous report from 2023, the new study does not foresee a positive impact of technology, including artificial intelligence, on the number of jobs.
The World Economic Forum indicates that the growth of artificial intelligence and renewable energy sources is changing the labor market, increasing demand for technology specialists while decreasing the need for other professions, such as graphic designers.
The report pays special attention to the impact of generative artificial intelligence on various industries and tasks. Among the professions that employers believe will decrease in number the fastest are mail clerks, administrative assistants, and payroll department employees. For the first Time, graphic designers and legal secretaries have also appeared on the list, indicating the growing capabilities of generative artificial intelligence to perform tasks that require intellectual labor.
At the same time, demand for artificial intelligence specialists is sharply increasing. Approximately 70% of companies plan to hire employees for developing and improving artificial intelligence tools, while 62% plan to collaborate with AI.
According to a survey of IT leaders, global banks will reduce or reorganize up to 200,000 jobs over the next three to five years due to robot replacements. A 3% reduction in the workforce is expected on average.
