Ukrenergo has for the first Time shown the consequences of the latest attacks on the energy system by Russia. According to the company, more than 200 missiles and about the same number of drones were used during the last two attacks in November.
Ukrenergo emphasized that these attacks aim not only to halt electricity and heating supplies but also to provoke despair and hopelessness.
'The enemy is trying to destroy the Ukrainian energy system, expending countless missiles and drones. After each attack, we immediately begin restoration. The stock of equipment we talked about was the right decision. Although it is not always possible to restore everything quickly due to significant damage. But the dedication of our energy workers is truly impressive. Thank you to everyone working under the threat of shelling,' said Oleksii Brecht, acting Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo.
Now the Ukrainian energy system is once again recovering after two attacks. Ukrenergo calls on citizens to use electricity sparingly to accelerate recovery work and reduce the need for forced outages.
Previously, the company reported an emergency increase in the number of outages due to damage to energy facilities.
