The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine refutes false data regarding the situation at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The agency states that information about the fire and a possible radiation release is false. The ministry reports that efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of a drone attack. The State Emergency Service confirms the detection of three burning compartments.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reassures that the radiation background remains normal and there is no threat to the population. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to refrain from spreading unverified information and to use official sources regarding the situation at Chernobyl.
