The end of the heating season in Ukraine will lead to scheduled power outages. This was reported by the director of energy programs at the Razumkov Centre, Volodymyr Omelychenko. He noted that the situation in the energy sector has stabilized somewhat due to weather conditions. However, with the onset of cold weather, everything may change, as restoring generating capacity takes at least six months. Therefore, the situation remains complex, and under the worst weather conditions, the duration of outages may increase.
It is impossible to get by without schedules of hourly outages in the coming week and until the end of the heating season, as our generation has been destroyed. That is, a power deficit will still exist, and restoring generating capacities is quite difficult. This will take at least six months. Therefore, the situation is quite complicated, and under the worst weather conditions, the duration of outages may increase.
We remind you that the NYT assessed how Ukraine will ensure electricity supply in winter.
