According to 'Glavkom', Russian propagandists claim that discussions about Russia's return to international football were canceled due to a phone call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the FIFA congress in Paraguay on May 15.
According to Russian propagandists, after Zelensky's conversation with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, it was decided to postpone the discussions for the future to avoid conflict and tension. Russian teams were banned following the aggression of 2022.
UEFA and the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
In the 2026 World Cup qualification, UEFA has 16 spots. It will take place from March 2025 to March 2026 and will consist of two stages.
