The Loss Register for Ukraine has begun accepting applications for the death of close family members.

Families affected by Russia's war have found a way to receive compensation for emotional pain
Starting from January 16, families who have lost loved ones due to Russian aggression can submit an application to the Loss Register. This will allow them to receive compensation for the emotional suffering caused by the loss of a loved one.
The opening of the application process is an important step in providing support to those affected by Russian aggression and in recognizing their losses.
Now, parents, partners, and children of those killed due to aggression can submit applications to the Register. Other family members can also apply if they can confirm their close relationship and dependence on the deceased.
Applicants must provide information about themselves and the deceased, as well as about the event that led to the death. Data from Ukrainian registers will be used to help confirm the fact of loss.
In addition, for this type of application, evidence of material losses is not required, which may be considered in other categories in the future.
Applications should be submitted through the Diia web portal.
