The Vovcha River has become a frontline in Vovchansk — OTS 'Kharkiv'.

The line of confrontation in Vovchansk
In the city of Vovchansk, where the Vovcha River flows, there is a standoff with Russian occupiers who are unsuccessfully trying to cross the line. This was reported by Pavlo Shamshyn, spokesman for the Operational and Tactical Group 'Kharkiv'.
'The enemy forces in the area of Vovchansk are constantly trying to push Ukrainian units outside the city, but unsuccessfully. The line of clashes runs along the Vovcha River. From Time to time, enemy groups attempt to cross it, but fail in doing so,' said Pavlo Shamshyn.
According to him, Ukrainian defenders quickly detect enemy movements and take all possible measures to eliminate them.
Why Russians want to capture Vovchansk
In response to the question of why Russian troops are so eager to capture Vovchansk, which is essentially in ruins, the spokesman explained that even in a destroyed city it is possible to effectively camouflage and hide. Additionally, the occupiers actively use underground communications to concentrate their forces.
'Why do they need Vovchansk, which practically does not exist as it is ruined? But even among the ruins, it is possible to conduct certain camouflage and secret movements. Moreover, the city always has underground communications that the enemy uses to increase its forces and resources,' the spokesman reported.
Status of the situation in the direction of Vovchansk
According to Pavlo Shamshyn's assessment, the situation in this direction remains complicated but stable and under the control of Ukrainian forces.
