Russia has intensified its information war in Poland

During the presidential elections in Poland, the Russian side began a new stage of information warfare by creating clones of real Western media. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

The operation Doppelganger, named by the intelligence officers, is one of the largest and longest information campaigns by Russia aimed at European Union and NATO countries.

Russian special services create fake websites and social media accounts that mimic genuine Western media, spreading disinformation under the guise of real news.

Since the beginning of March this year, they have actively tried to influence Polish voters through the social network X, using bot farms and fake accounts disguised as real individuals.

The Kremlin spreads messages against support for Ukraine, calling for Poland's exit from the EU, and discrediting Donald Tusk's government, while simultaneously trying to blame Ukraine for the political instability in Poland.

Analyzing the information, it becomes clear that Russia actively uses information resources to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, particularly to shape a negative attitude towards Ukraine.
