Russia will evacuate residents of Kursk region to Ukraine.

The Russian authorities are preparing to evacuate residents of the Kursk region to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by the governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov.
Today I had a telephone conversation with the governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balytskyi. We discussed the current situation in the Kursk region and possible measures to enhance the safety of our citizens... One of the key topics of the conversation was the assistance in accommodating displaced persons from border areas. Yevhen Balytskyi (the so-called governor of the Zaporizhzhia region - «Glavkom») suggested using sanatoriums and boarding houses on the coast of the Sea of Azov, located from Berdyansk to Kyrylivka», – noted Smirnov.
He clarified that the first flights to deliver people to temporary accommodation points in the Zaporizhzhia region will be carried out in the near future.
«In addition, lawyers and specialists from the Zaporizhzhia regional government will work on-site to help residents of the Kursk region with the necessary documentation and provide legal support within the framework of the anti-terrorist operation,» – specified Smirnov.
As reported, the operational headquarters of the Kursk region decided to evacuate residents from the Belovsky district. According to Smirnov, the regional representative office of the Ministry of Transport received instructions to prepare additional transport for evacuation. According to the official, buses are already on standby in safe zones.
