The hotel in Yevpatoria changed its name
At the 'Ukraine Palace' hotel in Yevpatoria, the word 'Ukraine' has disappeared from the name. This information was reported by hotel representatives. The sign, which was located in several places, is gone. Initially, the sign with the Latin inscription was present both on the facade and above the entrance. But since the beginning of September 2024, it can only be seen above the entrance.
According to journalists, they tried to find out the reason for the name change, but the hotel administration did not respond to calls.
Rename of the hotel in Simferopol
The 'Ukraine' hotel in Simferopol has also changed its name. It is now called 'Simferopol Grand Hotel'. Hotel representatives stated that the renaming has nothing to do with the political situation, but is part of the rebranding of the establishment.
The head of the Russia-controlled Public Chamber of Crimea said that there is no work being done in the Russian Federation to rename objects created during the Soviet period. He believes that the name change of the hotel is related to the business interests of the owner.
Ukraine does not recognize occupied territories
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine does not recognize the occupied territories in Donbas and Crimea. He emphasized that Kyiv is ready to regain control of these regions through diplomatic means, not military.
The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people stated that the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity is a mandatory condition for negotiations with the Russian side. They consider any territorial concessions unacceptable.
Problems with studying the Ukrainian language in Crimea
