In the evening of December 20, Russian occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia using drones, which caused a fire to break out. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, an ambulance arrived at the scene.

Ivan Fedorov showed photos of the aftermath of the attack, showing broken windows near a high-rise building.

Four people, including a 12-year-old boy, sustained injuries as a result of the attack. The explosion shattered windows in a nine-story building.

Earlier, the occupiers launched over 100 drones against the Zaporizhzhia region in one day.

On December 12, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited one of the divisions of the 27th reactive artillery brigade named after Petro Kalnyshlevsky, inspected the equipment, listened to the report, and awarded the soldiers state awards. This brigade was the first in Ukraine to receive Himars systems and is now providing artillery support for the defense of the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

It was also reported that rumors about a potential offensive on Zaporizhzhia have been circulating since March, but they are hostile information and psychological operations. This was stated by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, at a briefing. In addition, Fedorov reported that in the village of Komyshuvakha, located 20 km from the front line, they deliberately decided not to start construction of an underground school, as this could lead to 'incorrect assessments'.
