The Russian army regained control of the district center of the Kursk region

According to analysts from the DeepState project, the Russian army regained control of the city of Sujda in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation at the beginning of spring. Sujda, Rubanshchyna, and Novolyubivka were also occupied.

As of 16:00 on the day, the General Staff of Ukraine reported that there were 11 combat engagements in the Kursk direction, with three of them ongoing. In addition, the Russian army conducted 21 airstrikes, dropping 32 guided bombs, and carried out 150 shellings of both the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and settlements. According to the updated map from the General Staff, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have withdrawn from Sujda.

It should be noted that the Russian army has advanced closer to the borders with Ukraine in the Kursk region. Analysts from ISW have recorded data from geolocation footage indicating that Russian troops have advanced within Zaoleshenka. According to NASA Fire Information for Resource Management (FIRMS), fierce battles were observed in this area, and Russian sources claimed to have captured the settlement.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Ukrainian units continue to carry out missions in designated areas of the Kursk region.
