NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed the opinion during a press conference in Kosovo about the need for simultaneous efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine and prepare a peacekeeping mission. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

The NATO Secretary emphasized that before supporting peace, it must first be achieved. He supported President Trump's idea of the necessity for parallel work on achieving peace and ensuring it. At the same Time, he noted that the potential Franco-British initiative is one of the possible models for ensuring security guarantees in Ukraine and is closely coordinated with the United States.

Mark Rutte highlighted President Trump's important role in advancing the negotiation process concerning Ukraine with the Russians and Ukrainians. He also mentioned that thanks to Trump, a breakthrough occurred in the initiation of negotiations.
