Today, February 1, 2025, a worship service was held at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow to mark the 16th anniversary of Patriarch Kirill's enthronement. Seven representatives of the Moscow church participated in the event, including the head of the Synodal Department for Family Affairs Panteleimon (Povoroznyuk), the Metropolitan of Horlivka Mitrophan (Nikulin), Archbishop Varna of Makiivka (Filatov), and others. This is reported by the Telegram channel 'Cheerful Priest', led by Father Andrey Pinchuk, the rector of the church in the village of Voloska in Dnipropetrovsk region.

One of the primary messages of Patriarch Kirill was the recognition of the 'brotherly nations' of Russians and Ukrainians. He also emphasized that the center of the Russian Orthodox Church is located in Kyiv.
Draft law on banning the activities of religious organizations with a leadership center in an hostile state
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a draft law prohibiting the activities of religious organizations that have their leadership center in a country that is waging war against Ukraine. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada also supported a draft law to ban the Moscow church, which operates in Ukraine under the brand of UOC MP.
UN criticizes the dissolution of religious organizations in Ukraine
The UN expressed its outrage regarding the dissolution of religious organizations, including the UOC MP, in Ukraine and noted that there are insufficient justifications for such actions.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill urged Russians not to fear nuclear war, as 'Christians are not afraid of the end of the world – they await the Lord Jesus.'
