The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine visited the units in Donetsk region
The defenders of Ukraine in Donetsk region will receive support from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi. He visited units and subdivisions in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions and then reported this on his Facebook account.
“The main goal is to personally communicate with the commanders who are directly fighting, to solve problems and provide assistance. Based on the results of our work, we will strengthen our units with reserves, ammunition, weapons, and equipment,” Syrskyi reported.
Syrskyi also expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian defenders for their resilience and courage. According to him, the Ukrainian military has thwarted enemy plans and continues to hold back the enemy.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian forces have managed to restore their positions near Kreminna, while Russian troops continue to advance in the area of Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Velyka Novosilka.
The commander of the Ukrainian brigade in the Siversky direction reported that Russian forces are trying to storm their positions using aviation and artillery, but unsuccessfully.
