The screenings of the film 'Bucha' took place in Vienna
Special screenings of the feature film 'Bucha' were held on November 19 and 20 in Vienna, Austria. These screenings were dedicated to the 1000 days of Russia's war against Ukraine and were organized by the Representations of the United States, the European Union, and Ukraine in the OSCE, with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria and the public organization Unlimited Democracy.
Deputy Head of the U.S. Mission to the OSCE Tim Henvey, Acting Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine Victoria Kushinnikova, and Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Mission Oleksandr Irkhіn delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the brutal events in Bucha and the necessity of restoring peace and justice for Ukraine.
Tim Henvey emphasized: '1000 days ago Bucha was a peaceful town with 37,000 residents. Imagine the enemy entering your city, blocking bridges, and patrolling the streets. This was justified by crimes against humanity. These actions are documented crimes against humanity.'
The film 'Bucha' tells the story of the heroism of people during the war and calls for a just peace for Ukraine.
Omar Kardentei, a representative of the United States delegation to the OSCE, shared his impressions: 'Art, especially cinema, is a powerful weapon and can strike emotionally. The film 'Bucha' tells a true story and affects the worldview of the Western world. I am grateful to everyone who supported this screening. Together we honor the courage of the Ukrainian people.'
The film 'Bucha' is already available in all cinemas in Ukraine.
