The sports official from Russia called the principles for allowing Russians to international competitions humiliating.

The head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation condemned the humiliation of Russian athletes
The head of the Ski Racing Federation of Russia (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe expressed her indignation about the participation of Russian athletes in international competitions, considering it humiliating. According to her, this decision should be made by the athletes themselves.
It is strange to me that in the sports world we are invited. What does it mean that we are invited to the Olympics? Those who qualify should go. Others – it's humiliation
In her opinion, Russian athletes should decide for themselves whether to participate in international competitions.
They are adults, why should they consult with me? They can determine for themselves. I believe that when foreigners decide whom to invite - it is disgraceful. Moreover, they may not be the strongest. Many athletes from our country play for the teams 'Dynamo' and CSKA. They were at the Victory Day celebrations in Red Square. But because of this, they are not invited. This is humiliation
Recently, the International Skating Union (ISU) granted Russian skater Ksenia Korkhova the status of a neutral athlete, despite her expressed support for Russian aggression. This decision was criticized by Ukrainian gymnast Nikita Nagorny.
It is important to note that some Russian athletes who supported the war lost the opportunity to participate in the Olympics. This primarily concerns participants in pairs skating - Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Galliamov, as well as in ice dancing - Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin.
