The Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak stated that the USA supports a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire as a necessary condition for ending the war in Ukraine, not a temporary one as proposed by Russia. Yermak noted that the Ukrainian side has already agreed to this proposal in March of this year. He expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for supporting a complete ceasefire.
Russian Aggression
Simultaneously with the announcement of temporary ceasefires, Russia continues to shell Ukrainian territory and conduct offensive operations. Yermak emphasized that the Russian side violates its own announced ceasefires, as happened during Easter. He stressed that the ceasefire should be for real and sustainable peace, not just for show.
