Ukraine plans to mobilize up to 160,000 people by February 2025.

The Financial Times reports that the Russian Federation is preparing to intensify its attacks on Ukraine. According to Major General Dmytro Marchenko, there is widespread destruction on the eastern front of Ukraine due to a shortage of ammunition and soldiers. The military on the front lines are very exhausted and unable to hold their positions. The government of Ukraine plans to mobilize 160,000 people, although military experts believe this is unrealistic. This will only cover half of the needs, but will still improve the situation. Several commanders and soldiers state that the lack of clear terms of service complicates the recruitment of new soldiers. A legislative act from the Carnegie Fund asserts that Russia is winning over Ukraine due to its resources. Over the past two months, draft notices have been sent to citizens who do not pay taxes or work. The National Police of Ukraine has a mobilization age staff of approximately 75,000 police officers, with over 15,000 engaged in combat operations. The government plans to mobilize another 160,000 soldiers, which accounts for 85% of military units. There is currently no official statement from the General Staff regarding the possible mobilization of women.
