Every day, the Odesa City Council counts the losses from the shelling by the Russian Federation, but the amounts are constantly changing, making it difficult to determine the total cost of recovering the city after numerous attacks. This was stated by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov during a conference on the recovery of Ukraine in Rome.

Damage from shelling

According to the mayor, significant damage has been inflicted on Odesa's cultural heritage - over 170 architectural monuments have been damaged. Residential buildings and other infrastructure in the city are also continually suffering from attacks, making it currently impossible to accurately calculate the damage incurred.

Every day we conduct assessments and count how much money is needed for recovery. We cannot provide an exact figure because something new happens every day. The enemy destroys peaceful homes and high-rise buildings
, - noted Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Trukhanov also emphasized the importance of not only restoring infrastructure but also caring for people who have been left homeless and ensuring they have normal living conditions.

Recently, reports have been made of cultural monuments in Odesa being damaged by shelling, as well as a destroyed gym and shop as a result of an attack in the city.

Every day, the Odesa City Council counts the losses from shelling and constantly records new damage. The mayor expresses support for the victims and emphasizes the importance of restoring not only infrastructure but also living conditions for residents.
