Three years of large-scale Russian invasion.

On February 24, 2022, Russia started the largest war in Europe in the 21st century. This was a continuation of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, which began with the annexation of Crimea in 2014. In Moscow, they declared their intentions to destroy Ukraine's statehood and erase the national identity of Ukrainians. However, Ukraine not only repelled the attack but also effectively resisted the aggressor for three years.
Ukraine will not accept any agreements made without its participation. The leadership of Ukraine and Ukrainian society strive for peace, but they do not agree to a temporary ceasefire or peace that is not backed by real security guarantees. Ukraine halted the Russian army, capturing the Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Ukrainian forces attacked Russian bases and warehouses, destroying part of the Russian Black Sea fleet.
Russia has lost a significant number of soldiers, weapons, and equipment. Ukraine continues to strike at the rear objects of the Russian Federation. However, Russia will also attempt to make a hybrid offensive against European countries through sabotage and cyberattacks. Therefore, support and sanctions against Russia must be strengthened to deprive it of resources for waging war.
International support for Ukraine
On February 24, 2025, an international summit 'Support Ukraine' took place in Kyiv to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion. Representatives from nearly 40 countries and international organizations were present. Speaking at the summit, the president of Ukraine pointed to the necessity of Ukraine and Europe participating in negotiations, restoring trust, Ukraine's accession to NATO, and security guarantees from individual countries.
New packages of military assistance for Ukraine were also announced at the summit. Canada will provide Ukraine with combat vehicles and financial assistance amounting to $3.52 billion. Spain, Sweden, and Denmark also allocated significant sums to support Ukraine. The European Union will allocate 3.5 billion euros in aid and enhance cooperation in the energy sector. This confirms Ukraine's role as a key state in ensuring European security.
Ukraine needs prompt and powerful support
Three years of war have shown that Ukraine can defend its independence, but appropriate support is needed for victory. Russia continues to attack power plants and leaves millions of Ukrainians without electricity. This is a war crime that requires international legal assessment.
Prompt, powerful, and continuous assistance is the path to victory for Ukraine and the world.
