A Fourth Volunteer from Finland Died in Battles for Ukraine.


Another tragedy occurred in Finland – another Finnish volunteer soldier, who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, died. This information was confirmed by the Association of Finnish War Veterans (Sodan Kokeneet ry) and the relatives of the deceased.
The death of the Finnish volunteer soldier occurred in early July in an area north of Donetsk.
This is already the fourth Finnish volunteer who has died in the midst of heavy fighting in Ukraine. This terrible news was also confirmed by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to media reports, about 20-30 Finnish volunteers are currently participating in the war in Ukraine. Previously, it was mentioned that there could be up to fifty of them.
The first Finnish volunteer to die in the war in Ukraine was recorded in June 2023.
We also recall the death of the 22-year-old Polish soldier Tomasz Sienkala, who joined the International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine in 2023. He died on July 13 in the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region.
It was previously reported about the death of the Estonian volunteer fighter Martin Jaeger, who fought in the Kharkiv region.
