The Championship in England will introduce a semi-automatic offside detection system.

In the English Premier League (EPL), a new offside detection system will be implemented starting April 12. This was reported by 'Hlavkom', referring to the EPL press service.

From now on, a new offside detection system will be used in the English championship, which will reduce the Time for checking players' 'offside' positions from 31 seconds to 12. This system was first tested in the World Cup matches of 2022 in Qatar.

Previously, such a system has already been used in the Italian championship and the Champions League, and now it will also be available in the EPL. This is another step forward in enhancing technological means and improving fairness in football.
