On Sunday, July 13, an earthquake occurred in the Chernivtsi region. According to the Chernivtsi regional department of emergency situations, the tremors were of magnitude 2.6 on the Richter scale. The incident took place at 11:46 near the village of Koniatyn in the Vyzhnytsia district. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 3 km. It is noted that this earthquake is classified as 'barely perceptible.'

'On July 13, 2025, the Main Center for Special Monitoring recorded an earthquake in the area of the village of Koniatyn, Vyzhnytsia district, Chernivtsi region, with a magnitude of 2.6 (on the Richter scale), at a depth of 3 km. According to the classification of earthquakes, it is classified as barely perceptible' - reported the Main Center for Special Monitoring.

It is worth noting that there have been numerous earthquakes in Ukraine, but they are usually of low intensity. The most common earthquakes are registered in mountainous areas, particularly in the Carpathians and the Precarpathian region.

Currently, it is also worth mentioning the recent earthquake in the Poltava region near the village of Karpusi, as well as two earthquakes in the Odesa region that occurred in the Vrancea zone in neighboring Romania.
