The State Department made a statement regarding Ukraine's permission to use weapons for strikes on the Russian Federation.

Ukraine can make its own decisions about strikes on targets in Russia with its own weapons, said US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller. He also noted that the US does not prohibit the use of American weapons in regions bordering the Russian Federation.
Miller stressed that Ukraine does not need US permission for strikes on Russian targets, as it is a sovereign country and has the right to use its own weapons. He also noted that Ukraine has a significant arsenal of defense means that have been created over the past year.
Miller also emphasized that the US does not prohibit strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian targets near the border, where Russian troops are deployed. He urged Ukraine to use its potential for self-defense.
The spokesman reminded that President Biden allocated $8 billion to aid Ukraine in the security field and confirmed that the US will continue to support Ukraine.
