The EU commented on the fight against corruption in Ukraine.

The European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova, believes that the anti-corruption agencies in our country are working effectively and are coping with their tasks. She emphasized that those who follow Ukraine closely and understand how the fight against corruption works believe that the system is currently functioning.
It is noted that some officials from countries that are part of the European Union, who are not experts in this field, may think that there is a lot of corruption in Ukraine. However, to understand the situation, one needs to have a sufficient level of knowledge about how the anti-corruption system works.
The EU Ambassador also noted that high-profile criminal cases will appear, but this indicates the work of the system. She added that there were previously no favorable conditions for combating corruption schemes, but now this issue has become more relevant, for example, in connection with prosecutors' issues.
