A crisis is unfolding in Georgia due to the suspension of Euro-integration: massive protests and government resistance.

Employees of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia have opposed the government's decision to halt negotiations for joining the European Union until 2028. They expressed their position in statements, emphasizing that the EU is the only way to strengthen the security of the country and its sovereignty.
In Tbilisi, massive anti-government protests continue, with the number of protesters constantly growing, particularly in the streets of April 9, Chichinadze, and in front of the First Gymnasium. Near the parliament building, special equipment and special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are present. A fire occurred on the facade of the parliament building in a cable leading to surveillance cameras, and the lights were turned off.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the use of force against peaceful protesters in Tbilisi and urged the Georgian government to respect citizens' right to peaceful protests. The MFA's statement noted that the actions of Georgia's leadership, which do not take into account the choice of its own people in favor of Europe, have received praise from the Kremlin.
