The GUR assessed the impact of the Kursk operation on the course of the war.

Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi spoke about the operation of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and its impact on the course of the war.
According to him, this operation gives the Armed Forces of Ukraine real combat experience in offensive actions, which is critically important for the further liberation of occupied territories. The details of the raid are not yet disclosed due to its duration, but the GUR representative emphasized its significance in a global context.
"This is a very powerful operation that will change a lot both within the state and regarding the international community's attitude towards our country," Skibitskyi said.
The GUR representative noted that Ukraine's actions in the Kursk region are unprecedented against a nuclear state and a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
He also noted that the Kursk operation has already affected the strategic plans of the Russian Federation for the formation of reserves and the conduct of operations in the temporarily occupied territories. Ukrainian intelligence took into account Russia's plans to respond to the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine when planning further steps of the Ukrainian military leadership.
Although it is too early to give a full assessment of the impact of the Kursk operation on the overall course of the war, Skibitskyi emphasized that there are already positive results.
"There is a result, it is available to a more closed audience, but the result is positive," he concluded.
Earlier, an expert explained what "trap" the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region hides.
