In the forests of Prykarpattia, the bodies of two mushroom pickers were found in one day.


Tragedy in the forests of Ivano-Frankivsk region: bodies of two mushroom pickers found
On the morning of October 12, the bodies of two mushroom pickers were found in the forests of Kalush and Kolomyia districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. This was reported by the State Emergency Service in the region.
On the morning of October 11, rescuers began searching for a man born in 1963, who went to collect mushrooms in the forest near the village of Zaviy in Novytsia community. The next morning, on October 12, local residents found his dead body. The search was conducted using drones and canine teams.
Also on October 12, rescuers were approached by the relatives of a citizen born in 1971, who disappeared after going to collect mushrooms near the village of Tovmachyk. His body was found the next morning and brought to the village.
Rescuers remind mushroom pickers of the need to follow safety rules in the forest: do not go to collect mushrooms if you feel unwell, always carry a first aid kit, avoid trips to unfamiliar places and in unfavorable weather conditions.
Previously, border guards rescued an evader who was trying to illegally cross the border into Slovakia. He was found exhausted and hypothermic.
