Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernohorenko revealed how the 'Reserve+' system works with online deferrals.

According to her, the automatic extension of deferrals is currently limited due to technical problems in the interaction of registers. The government's resolution No. 560 provides for automatic extension 'if there is a technical possibility,' which the relevant services are working on.

Regarding people with disabilities, the deferral period is three months due to the ongoing state of war and mobilization, which is announced every 90 days. Since disabled individuals with a pension certificate are under the protection of the Pension Fund, their deferrals in the 'Reserve+' system are automatically extended if the grounds for deferment remain.

Regarding students, the deferral is extended until the completion of the current mobilization due to the lack of a unified schedule of the educational process in universities and a clear definition of the semester in legislation. After the end of the mobilization period, the deferral is automatically extended if the student continues their studies.

'Contract 18-24' Program

We remind you that mobilization in Ukraine will last from February 8 to May 9, 2025. Individuals aged 18 to 25, except those who have completed military training or compulsory military service, will not be subject to mobilization. From 25 to 60 years old, only men will be able to serve in the military.

As previously reported, the new 'Contract 18-24' program was launched on February 11, 2025, for citizens aged 18 to 24. It provides for financial assistance of 1 million hryvnias, monthly payments of up to 120,000 hryvnias, and a social package.

It is also worth noting that the process of booking conscripts at critically important enterprises has undergone changes. Enterprises must undergo verification by the end of February 2025, including an average salary of at least 20,000 hryvnias and the absence of tax arrears.
