Nigerian Air Force fighter mistakenly dropped bombs on two peaceful villages
The Nigerian Air Force fighter, which was pursuing militants, mistakenly dropped bombs on two peaceful villages. This was reported by the governor of Sokoto state, Ahmed Aliyu.
Military aircraft were on a mission to destroy criminal armed groups terrorizing the state. However, innocent residents of two villages - Gidan Sama and Rintuwa - were affected as a result.
An investigation into this military operation, which resulted in civilian casualties, is currently underway.
It is recalled that explosions in Nigeria resulted in at least 18 deaths, while another 48 were injured. This may have been provoked by an attack from Muslim terrorists.
Furthermore, in the city of Zaria, Kaduna state, a mosque collapsed where worshippers were present. As a result, 7 people died, and several were injured.
Earlier reports indicated that in northwestern Nigeria, bandits killed at least 20 people while looting and setting fire to homes and agricultural machinery.
