German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock joins the leaders urging NATO countries to increase defense spending compared to the current value of 2% of GDP.
At a thematic conference, Baerbock stated that defense spending equivalent to 2% of GDP would no longer be sufficient.
She also emphasized that this is in the 'own security interest' of European countries.
As is known, Donald Trump, returning to the White House, often criticized Germany for inadequate defense spending during his first term and threatened that the US would leave NATO.
Baerbock also emphasized the importance of military support for Ukraine and discussed the need to strengthen and unite Europe's defense capabilities.
