Finland calls on Europe to invest in the production of military materials in Ukraine
The speaker of the Finnish Parliament, Jussi Halla-aho, stated that after years of Russia's full-scale invasion, the country has increased its production of weapons and ammunition. This requires Western countries to increase investments in weapons production, including Ukraine.
Halla-aho hopes that Western countries will also invest in the production of military materials directly in Ukraine. This position was supported by Yle.
"We must invest in the production of military materials - both in our own country to replenish supplies and, by cooperating with Ukraine, invest in production there. This is what Ukrainians are hoping for now, and what several European arms manufacturers are doing. Establishing production directly in Ukraine can solve many logistical supply issues,"noted the speaker of the Finnish Parliament.
According to him, Ukraine has significantly increased its production of ammunition and weapons during the war. The country has the potential to create weapons manufacturing plants that can be protected from Russian strikes.
