Powerful explosions occurred in Poland: casualties and injuries (updated).


On the night of August 25, a massive fire and explosions occurred in a residential building in the Polish city of Poznan, resulting in 14 injuries. Two rescuers were missing. This was reported by RMF24.
The fire initially started in the basement of the building, after which firefighters arrived on the scene.
During the rescue operation, an explosion occurred in the building. Polish rescuers believe there were two explosions. The blast wave knocked back the firefighters who first arrived to extinguish the fire. Fire trucks were also damaged.
After the explosion, the fire quickly spread across all floors of the building and also reached the roof of a neighboring high-rise. Twenty residents were evacuated from the burning building, and 100 people were evacuated from neighboring buildings.
According to media reports, a gas cylinder likely exploded in the basement, but this information has not yet been confirmed by firefighters.
