The Parliament supported strengthening control over the work of TCCs: what will change.

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported the initiative of the General Staff regarding the responsibility of employees of territorial recruitment centers and military medical commissions for violations of mobilization

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on law enforcement issues supported the initiative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to develop a draft law on the responsibility of employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCC) and military medical commissions (MMC) for violations of the mobilization procedure.

This was reported by the deputy chairman of the committee, people's deputy Andriy Osadchuk, noting that the relevant proposals have already been received from the General Staff.

'The committee today agreed that it makes sense to delve into these proposals and refine them so that they take the form of a draft law,' he stated. Osadchuk also added that although he personally does not support the expansion of punitive measures as the main tool for improving the work of institutions, in this case, the introduction of additional tools may be justified.

The committee meeting took place against the backdrop of discussions on problematic issues of mobilization, in particular, violations by TCC employees, corruption schemes, and shortcomings in notification procedures.

A joint meeting of committees on national security and law enforcement activities regarding mobilization was held

On January 20, a joint meeting of committees on national security and law enforcement was held, attended by representatives of the General Staff, Armed Forces of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, State Bureau of Investigation, prosecutor's office, and National Police.

The issues of ensuring the planned replenishment of the Defense Forces, avoiding human rights violations during mobilization, facts of illegal actions by TCC officials, such as the use of violence, obstructing lawyers' activities, and creating illegal checkpoints, as well as corruption schemes that allow certain citizens to avoid mobilization were discussed.

As a result of the discussions, an additional meeting is planned with the participation of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, as well as to strengthen control over compliance with the law during mobilization.
