In the Russian Federation, a refinery that supplied fuel to the occupiers was attacked for the second time in a month.


On the night of August 28, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Kamensky district of the Rostov region in Russia. Local residents report this. It is known that the tanks of the Rosrezerv Atlas refinery are on fire. The fire is currently being extinguished.
Several powerful explosions were heard around 2:45 a.m. Witnesses note that the sounds could be heard in the cities of Novoshakhtinsk, Aksay, and Rostov.

Later it became known that a fire broke out in a field near the oil depot near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky. In particular, several tanks are on fire at the oil depot. This is reported by local residents and public pages. At the same Time, the regional governor reported that there was a drone attack in the region. In total, four drones were destroyed around 3:00 a.m.
Currently, the fire at the oil depot continues. According to eyewitness reports, several tanks are on fire.

Information about the "Atlas" refinery
The "Atlas" refinery specializes in the storage of petroleum products and the production of fuel for Russian military units and divisions in Donbas. The refinery belongs to the Federal Agency for State Reserves.
In August 2020, exercises by the Ministry of Defense and Rosrezerv on the release of petroleum products for the army using road, rail, and pipeline transport were conducted at the "Atlas" refinery.
This is not the first case of an attack on the "Atlas" refinery. In August 2024, there was also a fire at the oil depot. Overall, the fire lasted ten days after the drone attacks.
