Ukraine will develop the reconstructive surgery system.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko held a meeting with representatives of the Belgian agency for international cooperation Enabel. During the conversation, support for Ukraine in the development of reconstructive surgery and future partnership in medical education, rehabilitation, and infrastructure modernization was discussed.
Enabel was recognized for its comprehensive support of the Ukrainian healthcare system - from humanitarian aid to participation in the restoration of medical facilities. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the field of rehabilitation and the project for creating national centers for jaw and facial surgery expertise in Lviv and Kyiv. This is an important example of partnership based on a shared vision: modern medicine must combine treatment, rehabilitation, education, and innovation.
During the meeting, the development of jaw and facial surgery in Ukraine was also discussed. This area is becoming increasingly important due to the growing number of injured individuals needing complex reconstructive treatment: from military and civilian persons to patients with congenital defects and consequences of cancer diseases.
Ukraine is actively cooperating with Enabel to improve medical care and develop jaw and facial surgery aimed at providing quality and comprehensive assistance to patients needing facial and jaw reconstruction.
As a result of the meeting between the Minister of Health of Ukraine and representatives of Enabel, the prospects for cooperation in the development of reconstructive surgery, particularly jaw and facial surgery in the country, were discussed. The importance of integrating treatment, rehabilitation, education, and innovation into a high-tech medical process was emphasized to ensure quality medical assistance is provided to all citizens needing facial and jaw reconstruction.
