Ukraine tested a ballistic missile with a range of 300 km.

In mid-May, a new ballistic missile for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was successfully tested. The missile destroyed a Russian command post, flying nearly 300 km, which indicates its effectiveness. This was reported by military expert Valentin Badrak.
Development of Ukraine's missile program
Valentin Badrak explained that the new missile was a result of a missile program launched in May 2022. After successful tests in July of the same year, the President of Ukraine expressed the intention to complete its development.
“I don't know how many missiles can be expected per month, per year - I think it will grow very powerfully. The warhead of this missile is over 400 kg, and this is a very powerful arsenal. For comparison, the new American ballistic missile weighs only 91 kg. It is clear that we will have powerful weapons. I hope that we will keep moving forward; the main thing is to scale quickly and very logically.”
The expert noted that the administration of the missile program has been properly organized since July 2024, when a specialized deputy minister of defense was appointed and a Main Directorate for the support of the missile program in the Ministry of Defense was created.
The successful tests of the new ballistic missile indicate a successful development of Ukraine's missile program and readiness to respond to threats from Russia. The creation of powerful weapons and proper administration of the program adds to the country's defense capability and readiness for potential conflicts.
