Ukrzaliznytsia announced a new route to Bratislava.


Ukrzaliznytsia and Slovak Railways are launching a new route to Bratislava starting December 15th.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, trains will run to the capital of Slovakia:
№27/28 Kyiv – Chop – Kyiv by Ukrzaliznytsia;№617/961 Chop – Bratislava – Chop by Slovak railway ZSSK.
This route via Chop station will connect Kyiv, Lviv, and Mukachevo with Bratislava and other major cities in Slovakia, including Košice, Žilina, Trnava, Trenčín, and Poprad.
Schedule:
From Kyiv, train №27/28 will depart at 19:57 and arrive at Chop station at 07:50. There you can transfer to the Slovak railways train №617/961, which will depart at 09:59. Arrival in Košice is at 13:18, in Bratislava – at 19:33.
From Bratislava, train №617/961 will depart at 11:27 and arrive at Chop at 21:41. There you can transfer to train №28/27 of Ukrzaliznytsia, which will depart at 22:38 and arrive in Kyiv at 10:01.
Travel between Kyiv and Chop at night will be provided by sleeping cars of Ukrzaliznytsia, while the daytime segment on the route Chop - Bratislava will be with seating cars of Slovak railways.
'Transfers between trains are coordinated, and purchasing two tickets will be possible with one click in the mobile application and on the official Ukrzaliznytsia website. The railway connection with Bratislava also opens up a wide range of travel options to most cities in the Czech Republic, led by Prague,' - said the carrier.
