The heating season begins in Odessa: when will it be warm.


Odessa region is ready for the heating season
Odessa region is fully ready for the heating season. For the cold season, 1,315 boiler houses and nearly two thousand kilometers of heating networks have been prepared in the region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
The heat supply will start taking into consideration the climatic conditions of the region. The final decisions in this regard by local authorities will be made after November 1st.
Currently, the heating is already turned on in the Artsyz community. However, in the Yuzhne community, the power grid will be prepared for heating supply only by November 4th.
The press service of the Odessa City Council reported that the heating season in Odessa will start on November 4th. Primarily, heating will be provided for preschool institutions (kindergartens), general secondary education institutions (schools), and healthcare facilities (hospitals).
“Since the start-up of heating is a complex technological process, the connection throughout the entire city will take from one week to 10 days,” the message says.
Let us remind that the Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Anna Pozdnyakova, and the Director of the Department of Urban Economy, Leonid Grebenyuk, held a meeting to prepare the city for the 2024-2025 heating season.
In the Department of Urban Economy, it was also reminded that the decision to start the heating season will be made taking into account the average daily air temperature, namely when the average daily temperature drops to +8 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
