The number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased: monitoring by the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service.


According to the results of the fourth quarter of 2024, the number of civil servants in Ukraine has decreased. According to the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NADS), the actual number of employed civil servants was 156,276, which is 1,443 fewer than in the previous quarter.
According to the staffing table, the number of civil service positions amounted to 192,172, while the number of vacant positions was 31,167. It is noteworthy that transformations in the Civil Service have occurred in the fourth quarter of 2024.
According to NADS, the trend of reducing the number of civil servants is strengthening. In the fourth quarter, there were 1,443 fewer civil servants. While according to the research of the Civil Service in the third quarter of 2024, their number decreased by only 372.
The number of reduced civil service positions according to the staffing table has increased. In the fourth quarter, this figure was 4,524, while in the previous quarter it was 1,942.
According to NADS, during the fourth quarter, the number of vacant civil service positions decreased by 2,131 compared to 1,547 in the previous period. A negative trend is observed regarding the reduction in the number of men in public service. In the fourth quarter, their number decreased by nearly 2% of the total number (639 individuals). In the third quarter, this figure was reduced by 413 individuals.
