The main stage of the PISA-2025 education quality research has started in Ukraine
Starting from May 4, 2025, the main phase of the international PISA-2025 education quality research will begin in Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment, more than 10,000 15-year-old students from 298 schools and educational institutions are participating in this phase.
To ensure safety, a representative sample of institutions from rural and urban areas in 17 regions of Ukraine has been chosen. Participants are undergoing testing and surveying in the specialized online PISA environment. They complete individual tasks in various domains of PISA, such as reading, mathematics, science, digital world, and foreign language. Special attention is given to science, which is the focus of PISA-2025.
Quote: 'The main goal of the research is to determine Ukraine's achievements in education in an international context, compare them with the results of other countries, and identify pathways for further development of our education,' reported the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment.
Participation in the survey is an important part of the PISA research, as it helps establish factors affecting students' success. The cards for students and institutions contain questions related to their educational achievements. All PISA data is anonymous and used for analysis at the country level.
