Fines for failure to fulfill state defense contracts restored
The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on budget issues supported an amendment regarding the restoration of fines for failure to fulfill or delayed fulfillment of state defense contracts by suppliers. This was reported by the head of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy, Anastasia Radina.
'Timely and quality supply of everything necessary to the Armed Forces of Ukraine must be our priority No. 1,' emphasized the deputy.
The amendment to Bill No. 12245 provides for the following sanctions for unscrupulous suppliers of goods, works, and services for the Armed Forces:
- an additional fine of 7% of the value of goods, works, or services for contract delays exceeding 30 days
- a penalty of 0.1% of the value of goods, works, or services for each day of contract delay
- a fine of 20% of the value of poor-quality (incomplete) goods, works, or services.
