Ukraine determines the specifics of connecting floating power plants to the grid.

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) has established the rules for connecting floating power plants to the energy system during martial law.
This decision was made at the commission's meeting, reports Ukrinform.
NEC "Ukrenergo" must provide information on the maximum power level that the networks will be able to provide for floating power plants by October 25.
In the case of connecting floating power plants during martial law, NEC "Ukrenergo" may issue permission without obtaining a connection service.
Owners of floating power plants will temporarily not need to install separate electricity metering devices for the electricity they generate or consume. They must ensure the commercial accounting of electricity for external networks for each commercial metering point.
According to the calculations of NEC "Ukrenergo", floating power plants can additionally provide networks with 250 MW of power.
