A total review of the disability of officials has been launched in Ukraine.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, led by President Volodymyr Zelensky, has launched a large-scale campaign against corruption schemes in the disability appointment procedures for civil servants.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported this.
According to the NSDC's decision, the government approved a comprehensive plan to combat abuses during the formation of disability status for officials. One of the key elements of this plan is the establishment of an interdepartmental working group under the Ministry of Health.
This group consists of representatives from nine state agencies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the National Police. The main goal of the group is to verify the legitimacy of the decisions made by medical and social expert commissions.
By the end of November 2024, a list of 1,695 officials from over 30 state agencies has been compiled for verification. The distribution of the verified cases is as follows:
- 32% - employees of the tax service
- 26% - employees of the prosecutor's office
- 17% - employees of the customs service
- 25% - officials from other institutions
Over the next two months, checks will be conducted, the results of which can be challenged and reviewed concerning previously established medical conclusions.
The system has also been improved: the functions of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission have been transferred to the Ukrainian State Scientific Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability in the city of Dnipro.
