Vegetable prices soar in Ukraine: what analysts predict.

Beet prices increased in the Ukrainian vegetable market
According to analysts of the EastFruit project, table beets have become more expensive in the Ukrainian market. Producers are selling them for 14-18 hryvnias per kilogram, which is on average 24% more compared to the previous week.
The decrease in the supply of quality beets on the market is the main reason for the price increase. Sales of beets from unprepared storage are virtually finished, and the amount of non-standard products has also decreased.
The demand for beets is growing among wholesale companies and retail chains, while the stocks of quality beets among producers are decreasing. The price of beets exceeds last year's figures by 35%.
Market experts believe that this price increase is temporary. Further price hikes may force farmers to sell beets from storage, which would increase supply and stabilize prices.
Previously, prices for other borscht vegetables also rose in Ukraine.
