In Ukraine, rules for electricity disconnections will be changed: clarification from Ukrenergo.

The company 'Ukrenergo' establishes unified rules for electricity disconnections for all regions of Ukraine.
This was reported by the company's press service.
The approved Ministry of Energy instruction on the creation and application of hourly electricity disconnection schedules will ensure uniform principles for electricity disconnections across all regions.
'To establish equal principles for the application of hourly disconnection schedules for the population in all regions. This is the goal of the updated 'Instruction on the creation and application of hourly electricity disconnection schedules', approved by the order of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine No. 439 dated November 27, 2024,' the message states.
Household consumers can expect the following changes:
- each queue of GPO will be additionally divided into two sub-queues for more accurate distribution of restrictions between regions and within each region;
- up to 30 minutes is allocated for disconnecting and reconnecting subscribers;
- hourly disconnection schedules will be unified following the principles of uniformity and fairness.
'Each group of consumers in each region, determined by the distribution system operator (oblenergo), will receive a specific Time when the restrictions will be applied to them. Taking into account the most fair distribution by the criteria of day/night, weekday/weekend,' Ukrenergo explained.
The company also noted that the final adjustment of disconnection durations will be made based on weekly results.
The new regulations will also apply to industry and business:
- control over the application of power restriction schedules (GOP) for industry is strengthened.
If enterprises/legal entities do not comply with the command to apply GOP, distribution system operators (oblenergo) must independently apply emergency disconnection schedules to consumers connected to their networks.
'Currently, all distribution system operators are adapting their schedules to the new requirements. Learn about the changes in disconnection schedules in each region on the website or official pages of the oblenergo,' the company noted.
Ukrenergo also reminded that in wartime conditions, not only hourly but also emergency electricity disconnections are possible.
Ukrainians have been warned about how long they will have to live without electricity.
