Ukrenergo warned Ukrainians about the hardest winter: there are three scenarios.

Winter 2024-2025: "Ukrenergo" prepares for the toughest conditions in the past three years
Acting head of "Ukrenergo" Oleksiy Brekhta said that the winter of 2024-2025 will be one of the toughest in the last three years. He emphasized that the company is preparing for several possible scenarios for the passage of this winter.
Three options, including the worst-case scenario - continuation of massive shelling of infrastructure, transmission networks, generation facilities, etc.
Brekhta reminded that as a result of shelling from the Russian Federation in the spring, Ukraine lost 9 GW of generating capacity, which is equal to the summer electricity consumption of the Netherlands or the nighttime electricity consumption of Ukraine in the summer. This was a significant loss for "Ukrenergo", which has a plan to restore these capacities.
The worst-case scenario for passing the winter is the continuation of Russia's massive attacks on generation facilities
In case of this scenario and with the volume of electricity import already available today, power restrictions may be imposed on cold days up to two queues of disconnection schedules for a duration of up to 8 hours.
