Ukrenergo reported on how ready they are for possible repairs of the power system in winter.

"Ukrenergo", the national power grid operator of Ukraine, reported on its readiness for the winter period.
According to the company's press service, acting CEO Alexey Brecht, during the "Business Energy 2024" forum organized by Forbes Ukraine, noted that Ukrenergo has a threefold reserve of repair equipment compared to the norm.
"We have a full range of necessary power electrical equipment, we have a spare emergency park of transformers. This winter, we are ready like never before for any possible situations to properly respond to them," he said.
The head paid special attention to the significant progress in the speed of restoration of damaged equipment. He pointed out the example of a mass missile attack that caused damage to four 750 kW substations. "Ukrenergo" managed to fully restore their operation in 13 days.
"We learned to install an autotransformer in three weeks, transporting it from another region. No one has ever done this before. We set records that even our colleagues cannot achieve," Brecht noted.
These achievements became possible thanks to the availability of necessary equipment, a professional team, and optimized recovery processes. These factors significantly reduce the Time needed for repairs and the restoration of critical infrastructure operations.
Earlier, an expert expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian power system cannot function normally without nuclear energy.
